Here’s a list of items to bring to the workshop.
- Laptop computer
If you have a laptop computer with wireless access to the Internet, bring it. The price for this workshop assumes that you’ll be bringing your own computer. (I may have one laptop computers to spare; let me know when you register. First come-first served). - Domain Name registrar account information
When you register your domain name, you’ll be creating an account with the registrar; you’ll choose a username and password. Bring that information with you to the workshop. - Remote email login information.
Can you login to your email account using a web browser or otherwise check email when you’re not located at your usual place of computing? You’ll need to be able to access your email during the process of setting up your website. (If not, let me know head of time; we’ll find a way to work around it.) - Credit card.
You’ll be signing up for web hosting during the workshop; they take payment by credit cards (the entire annual fee is due at once for this particular host arrangement). - Text, photos, illustrations
Anything that you’ve already worked on for your site. Text might include your bio, your description of your product, your stories, your work philosophy. (You get the idea). If you have image files–photos or illustrations that you want to put on your site, bring them!
