BryceTalk Privacy PolicyRegistration Information.In order to use BryceTalk, you need to be a registered user of Bryce 4. The specific information MetaCreations uses to track your account with BryceTalk is your real name, your nickname, your email address and product serial number. This information is used inside the company only to ensure that, as a registered user of a MetaCreations product, you have a right to be in BryceTalk. We use your email address for administrative purposes; we do not share your email address...(On the other hand, if we have received your email address from other places, we may use it to send you email advertisements, but that's a different matter entirely.) MetaCreations may and will increase our community offerings, adding services such as message boards, file libraries, etc. We intend to use your nickname as the consistent means of access to our other community offerings. Personal Information kept track of while you're in BryceTalkYou are hereIn the course of providing the service for BryceTalk, MetaCreations tracks certain information about you. When you sign on to BryceTalk, the BryceTalk server keeps track to see that you are online, and what room(s) you are located in. What you sayThe BryceTalk server monitors the words you type only for the purpose of displaying it to the other people located in the same BryceTalk room. Aside from enabling the display, the text of what you say in BryceTalk is not saved nor stored on the BryceTalk host. It "goes in one ear, out the other." (Individual logs in BryceTalk may be saved by individual members who are in the same BryceTalk room, however. ) Other personal information that is tracked by the server:BryceTalk tracks how long you have been connected to the BryceTalk host. The name(s) of the room(s) you have created. Room names are tracked solely for the purpose of ensuring that the BryceTalk environment stays within the appropriate "MetaQuette" guidelines (see the Terms of Service.) |
