Danoe: in...out...in...out...hmmmm

ChaMelEon: we should all go to bed....

AuntiAlias: Okay then...

Edo!

it's your turn!

Slee disappears in a blinding flash of smoke.

Edo!: Back to compatibility between programs. Are you going to include Infini-D into this mix or allow it to continue to die the slow painful withering death we have been seeing? Will you disconnect the moon from the sun in Bryce? makes no sense!

dickie: "?"

ChaMelEon: aMen!

Cricket: !

Chippro disappears in a blinding flash of smoke.

sepapu: love to have the moon in daytime sky.

Gary L: Edo, we currently are working on a major revision and upgrade to infiniD which you'll hear about soon

Lise slinks out.

ChaMelEon: Moon?

Edo!: Also.. I cant beleive you cant set catagories for presets in Bryce... and lastly get rid of this inane commentary in Brycetalk.. whoever wrote it is not as hip and cool as they think.

Calyxa: snerk

Gary L: Edo, improvements to skymodeling are on the list

Cricket: snort

ChaMelEon: Relax Edo

MetaIan: : )

Suddenly Dreamweaver appears.

technoid: hehe

AuntiAlias: Gregg is on.....

magister

(sorry, queue list had a bit of the recent past)

Gregg has finally arrived.

MetaG: uh, oh, aunit's in trouble.

AuntiAlias: Gregg, your turn in the queue came up

Gregg: Company outlook?

zman52 has more important business elsewhere.

aeryn has more important business elsewhere.

Gregg: Future bright?

kree: I have a question regarding KPT5, and constant memory errors when applying blurr filters on large files. I have a Dell 450 w/128 ram. I got a rather underwhelming admission from support that there was indeed a problem, but basically no plans to fix it.

Topaz slinks out.

aeryn saunters in.

Gary L: we're all optimistic

Gregg: :)

AuntiAlias: Folks, if you ahve a question, please type "?"... I'll call on you.....

3d~?~elf: since a wish list has started, how about an active/inactive grid in the terrain editor to draw with,/larger window) and improvement in that window FOR drawing?, might be under the 'guise' of improved modelling for B4(5?)??

AuntiAlias: go for it...

Lise: Sorry, isp probs. I'm back Susan.

dimension: Stock: MCRE - METACREATIONS CORP

Exchange: NASDAQ

Gary L: kpg, we'll call you tommorow

AuntiAlias: Lise!!

ask!

kpg : OK, then great to hear that!!!

Lise: Based on the fact that not all brycers are interested in animation, is it thinkable that in the near future:

Bryce, animation, modeling, figures, etc will be separate applications that will inter-connect so the user will be able to build himself the application that he really needs?

Mhyper saunters in.

Reflash: good idea !

kpg is off to save the world.

MetaJohn: kpg please go to Lost

Mazrim: you might want to keep them the same app, but as seperate modules like lightwave

3d~?~elf: ! (kpg is going offline to sit by the phone)

Gary L: perhaps, but it's not high on the priority list today]

Lise: Also: It would really be nice to have you at a Bryce Talk Event for european users soon. Since I'm in between the two worlds here (Quebec), I promise I will do the french translation for you. LOL

Suddenly thinkpiece appears.

Danoe: (hmm to make $399 profit to buy Canoma.....how many shares......)

ccasady: yea, a non animation version would be faster woundn't it?

Gary L: Lise, you got a deal.

Blue Max has finally arrived.

Hometime: thanks, great program!

AuntiAlias: If you have a questioon, please type ? ... I'll put you in the queue and call on you.... : )

andyl! you're on!

andyl: There is something I would like to see. Is there a way in Poser or Bryce that allows objects to react to contact from other objects? Forinstance, when a PoserPerson leg moves as they walk, the long coat they are wearing moves from leg contact.

Rob_C: ?

kyle disappears in a blinding flash of smoke.

AuntiAlias: Queue list: Mcharb, jcastick, Ringo, dawn, jeffric, dimension, ghazelwood, MonkeyT, dickie, Cricket, kree, dickie, 3D elf, jcastick, Rob_C

Gary L: not currently, this is a big issue to address

jcastick: Here are my questions/comments................I think Bryce is truly innovative excellent work!

AuntiAlias: Mcharb... you have the floor

jcastick, you're in the queue

jcastick: question....damn.....sorry again.,.

Mcharb: 1. With the integration to the web based capabilities in the software titles, will MetaCreations look to clean up the HIML by making it easy to modify and trace? 2 How about an Increase the customization features for a smoother integration into websites?

tuckersaur: ?

AuntiAlias: I'll call on you later....

Edo!: ?

andyl: bye all

Mazrim slinks out.

thinkpiece disappears in a blinding flash of smoke.

Gary L: Mcharb, I don't understand your question

thinkpiece has finally arrived.

JeffP: OH!

AuntiAlias: Mcharb?

Mcharb: For example, in the Soap2 application, the albums never seem to export correctly to H

Kikuchiyo is off to render mirrored spheres.

Mcharb: TML for web use

thinkpiece is off to render mirrored spheres.

Mcharb: It is difficult to trace and find out the problem with WHY it dosn't work correctly.

Gary L: HTML support will definitely improve as we go forward

Mcharb: Will that be easier to upgrade?

tharkun: ?

Gary L: should be

jcastick: 2. Do you have a beta testing program for users?

Minkie: (relieved sigh)

Gary L: ABSOLUTLEY

AuntiAlias: Ringo, you're on!

Ringo: Regarding Bryce and Poser are we going to soon see Poser figures walk in Bryceland? Will Behaviors like, Bounce , Physical effects, etc ever be added to Bryce? How about using AVIs/Quicktime files as "movie objects"?! Should place adds in a few DVD films.

KPT Chuck has just left.

jcastick: how can one sign up for the program, to review programs before they come out?

tanuki disappears in a blinding flash of smoke.

Gary L: jcastick, contact beta@metacreations.com

AuntiAlias: (Ringo's question has the floor)

jcastick: Thanks Mr. Lauer!!

Blue Max disappears in a blinding flash of smoke.

Gary L: Ringo, thanks for the ad suggestion. We want poser figures to integrate inside Bryce, Canoma, and other to be announced products.

jcastick is off to save the world.

AuntiAlias: dawn.... you're ON! : )

dawn: This may have already been asked, but I was curious about any new Photoshop plugins in the works???Maybe KPT6 or completely new batch with brand new goodies? And also would be interested in seeing a MetaCreations' vector illustration program.

Sideways: [I must beg for a Vector F/X upgrade at this point...]

dawn: No vector program???

ahole: Hey Tucker and Vectors know alot about Sree

tuckersaur: they sure do!

tharkun: Have you thought about partnering with somebody like Macromedia for the HTML side and interactivity/plug-in capability for Bryc? The use of a "partner: would seem to make sense in that MC can concentrate on the Graphics and 3D side, unless MC is moving int

Gary L: We're working on a plugin architecture and the patch is coming

tharkun: sorry

?

AuntiAlias: dimension, you're UP! :D

tharkun: miss typte

dimension: When will MetaC have a package of Bryce, Poser, BryceTalk, and maybe a copy or Canoma in one package at a discounted price when you buy all of them?? And also, when will we all be millionares?

ChaMelEon: lol

Mcharb: ?

dimension: whats so funny!

Clark/CDS: anti-bump response#1

MetaCharacter: dawn: http://www.metacreations.com/products/expression/

Gary L: dimension, we may do a 3d package this year. I hope you're a millionaire soon, so you won't need to buy discounted packages from us

aeryn has just left.

norm: I just got home. Guess I missed everything?

AuntiAlias: MonkeyT!! It's YOU!!!

MonkeyT: After many years of Brycing, I've watched the careful dance of Bryce development between "more features" and "keep it simple." I want only one thing: Open Scripting Architecture compliance (particularly Applescript, please pardon the personal bias).

If Bryce were scriptable, complex behavior could be controlled from outside the program, leaving the internal controls uncluttered by overly technical stuff. No more bloatware. Run only the tools you need, externally, customized.

Plugging coordinates in from outside software could open up the program for some fantastic uses: Scientific & mathematical simulations, business presentation. Think 'Phenomenal animated bar graphs from Excel.'

It would give the ambitious users a chance to customize the program in ways no other midrange 3D program allows. Plug-ins that ANYONE could write, not just programmers.

Sideways: [MonkeyT: Scripting, I'm with you.]

ChaMelEon: whew!

Gary L: you may see something like this in a future version of Bryce

tuckersaur: Wow! Excellent idea - intense...

MonkeyT: My own experiments of scripting mouseclicks and keystrokes are interesting, but nothing outrageously successful yet. I'll keep slugging, just 'cause I'm stubborn. But access to Bryce's object matrices would make my life much easier.

AuntiAlias: dickie.... your turn!!

Sideways: [MonkeyT: Tried Keyquencer?]

dickie: Hi, its probably been asked already but is there any news on additional export plugins like dxf for primatives or a render export?

Pegasus has more important business elsewhere.

dickie: so

MetaG disappears in a blinding flash of smoke.

norm is off to render mirrored spheres.

Gary L: yes, and we'll be posting some for download. We're always open for importer/exporter suggestions

AuntiAlias: Cricket.... you're up! :D

Cricket: Suggestion: From what I've seen around here, please consider using John Feld as a product usability tester. If something confuses him..CHANGE IT. <g> Also, if you don't wear briefs or jockies, did you mean long johns? And is there a patch for KPT5 yet?

jpladue wants to play too.

dickie: Cheers Mr L

MetaScott slinks out.

KPT John: Thanx Cricket

dickie: I'm gone

Cricket: <g>

Brian Hitney: whoa, pleasant thing to read upon entering :)

jpladue: No!

Gary L: lol

jplapointe: :)

Mhyper: LOL

kree: I have a question regarding KPT5, and constant memory errors when applying blurr filters on large files. I have a Dell 450 w/128 ram. I got a rather underwhelming admission from support that there was indeed a problem, but basically may or may not fix it.

KPT John: Welcome Brian

dimension: lol

jplapointe: Hey John! Hello

dimension: ok sorry im kinda confused

Brian Hitney: Hi... which John is this?

KPT John: Bonjour JP

MetaBrian is off to render mirrored spheres.

Gary L: I don't know the answer but I believe it's being addressed

jplapointe: No problem

KPT John: John Feld

thinkpiece wants to play too.

AuntiAlias: dickie.... you're next! :D

jpladue: hmmm

Brian Hitney: ah! Greets John!

Suddenly MetaBrian appears.

ghazelwood disappears in a blinding flash of smoke.

AuntiAlias: Queue: 3D elf, jcastick, Rob_C, tuckersaur, Edo!, tharkun, Mcharb, ... if you have a question, please type "?" ... and if you have a comment, please type "!"

Rob_C: Um... need any more Bryce artists fer MC's illustrations? <wink wink> Also... will we see an Expression 2? Great program but it really needs a new version!

ChaMelEon: It does?

Gary L: Rob, please send us any illustrations you have to John Feld

KPT John: THanx Gary

AuntiAlias: : )

Clay: LOL

Rob_C: For example, angle-sensitive pressure sens. stuff

KPT John: Send them along Rob

Gary L: Probably no Expression 2 :(

Rob_C: hehee will do. Yer in for it, Johnny!

Awwww.... =(

AuntiAlias: tuckersaur!!! it's YOU!

KPT John: I know where you live Rob

MonkeyT is off to render mirrored spheres.

tuckersaur: The orignal Bryce1 contained a simple AfterDark screen saver. I suggest a future Bryce that includes a screensaver that uses Bryce movie files and a user-friendly ability to create looping animations in Bryce. Also...

Sideways: [Rob_C: Illustrator 8's brushes do a good job -- no transparency, though.]

Clay: !

tuckersaur: I had the same Bryce plug-in question as well. I'd just like to add Klaus Busse's bsmooth would be a great candidate for the first plug-in. and finally...

fluffy has just left.

ChaMelEon: I'll sent my terrabytes to john too...:)

Gary L: thanks!!!!

Rob_C: Kay thanks... Gotta run and see my band soon!

tuckersaur: Can we see true implementation of pressure sensitivity in a future Bryce - re: tablets?

Rob_C has more important business elsewhere.

jplapointe: I will back

jplapointe is off to save the world.

ccasady: ?

Gary L: Perhaps in the terrain editor

AuntiAlias: Queue: Edo!, tharkun, Mcharb, desdanova, Clay, ccasady,
